Wellness Exams
A wellness exam can help us to establish a relationship with you and your pet, detect early signs of illness and address health issues before they progress; we recommend 1-2 per year, depending on the age and health of your pet. Pets of any age will benefit from a thorough physical examination and detailed health profile, which will help to identify any existing or developing issues that might affect their health and quality of life. Through this process, we get to know your pet and learn about his or her lifestyle, personality, health risks, home environment, and other important information.
A wellness exam includes an evaluation of all of your pet’s major organ systems and an oral examination, followed by an interview about your pet’s appetite, behavior, exercise habits, and regular activities at home. Diagnostic testing or vaccinations that may benefit your pet may be recommended as appropriate.
A wellness exam is also your chance to address your questions or concerns about your pet. We strive to help you understand your pet’s health considerations and encourage you to be involved in decisions regarding your pet’s health.
We encourage you to use wellness examinations to take an active role in your pet’s health care.
